What is ceramic coating?

Ceramic Coating-
What is Ceramic Coating? –
Ceramic Coating is a revolutionary paint protection coating that contains 100% silica providing the highest level of gloss and protection and is backed by an official warranty provided by IGL Coatings and supported by Certified IGL Coatings Master Applicator. It forms a layer of thick coating that radiates a rich and natural glow reminiscence of a bespoke wax while providing unmatched protection. Running your hand across a Ceramic Coated car is like touching the soft luxurious silk. It will never be the same again!
How Do You Apply? –
Before you apply any Ceramic Coating, the paint needs to be fully prepped. The surface should be free of any scratches, swirls, and oils. The coating will not fix swirls of scratches, but it will help prevent them, as its primary a protectant. Always remember... what the paint looks like before applying Ceramic Coating is what its going to look like for the duration of the Ceramic Coating. Even brand-new vehicles need to be prepped properly!
Maintain Your Ceramic Coating-
After the coating has cured you are able to apply a carnauba wax over coating. Be sure that the wax is strictly a wax and doesn’t contain any “Cleaners”. Wash and dry your vehicle properly. Do not use dish soap, all purpose cleaners, or harsh chemicals. No polishing of cleaner waxes! For guaranteed warrant with Pride In Your Ride, we suggest bringing your vehicle in once a year after the coating has been applied to maintain and top up Ceramic Coating. This is very important as it will maintain the duration of the Ceramic Coating.
What to Expect after Coating-
High Solids- 100% active material content and 0% solvent creating a thick film build.
Extreme Harness- Crosslinks and full cures to hardness up to 10H (Pencil Scale)
Anti-Fouling- Surface stays clean for longer period thanks to the anti-fouling effect
Water spot Resistance- Improved formulation to increase the resistance of water spotting on vehicles.
Superb Hydrophobic Quality- Water contact angle that surpasses 120 Degrees.
